Awards and Funding Opportunities

The deadline for nominations for the NAECTE 2017 awards has been extended to July 20, 2017. Please nominate your early childhood colleagues or students for the Outstanding Educator Award, Outstanding Practitioner Award, or Outstanding Dissertation Award. There are also 2 travel awards for graduate student travel.  Do not let this opportunity pass by! Each prestigious award is sponsored by a top publisher (Pearson, Taylor & Francis, Cenage) and includes a substantial monetary prize. Be sure to upload a nomination letter, the nominee’s CV, and two letters of support. Dissertation award nominations will also need a copy of the dissertation uploaded. Publishers well known to the field of early childhood education sponsor the awards. They are:

The 2008 award winners were: Pamela Brown, Karen Rogers, Kathryn Castle, Caren Fauerhelm and Sara Chimblo for their article in volume 28, number 1, entitled: The nature of primary teaching: Body, time, space and relationship.

The 2007 award winners were: Jie-Qi Chen and Gillian McNamee for their article in Volume 27, number 2, entitled Strengthening Early Childhood Teacher Preparation: Integrating Assessment, Curriculum Development, and Instructional Practice in Student Teaching.
